The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council, Ondo State Axis, warmly appreciates the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the approval of the remaining six buses for Student Union Governments across our tertiary institutions.
This is more than an approval for buses. It is a meaningful response to a need that directly affects the movement, activities and welfare of students across our campuses.
During our recent engagement with the Ondo State Government, we deliberately brought the issue of the remaining Student Union buses to the table, reminding the government of its earlier commitment to the student community. We are therefore particularly pleased to see that commitment receive attention and approval.
We sincerely commend Your Excellency for listening to the concerns of students and for demonstrating that engagements between government and the student community can produce practical results. For us, this is what meaningful representation should look like identifying genuine concerns, bringing them forward and seeing them addressed.
We also appreciate every government official who has contributed to the process of making this approval a reality.
On behalf of the entire student community in Ondo State, we say thank you, Your Excellency.
We believe these buses will serve an important purpose in strengthening student mobility, supporting Student Union activities and making inter-campus engagement easier for our students.
As NANS JCC Ondo State Axis, we remain committed to constructive engagement with the government and all relevant stakeholders. We will continue to speak up on issues affecting our students while also recognising and appreciating genuine interventions when they come.
Once again, we appreciate His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for this important intervention and for keeping faith with the student community.
When a government listens, students benefit. When promises become action, trust is strengthened.
