The Office of the Vice Chairman, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC), Ondo Axis, has expressed profound appreciation to all stakeholders following the successful completion of the three-day Permanent Voter Card (PVC) Mobilization and Registration Exercise held across tertiary institutions in Ondo State.

The exercise recorded an impressive turnout as eligible over 1000 students participated in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process, reaffirming the commitment of Nigerian students to democratic participation and responsible citizenship.

Speaking on the success of the exercise, the Vice Chairman of NANS JCC Ondo Axis, Comr. Abiodun Victor, described the initiative as a landmark achievement in promoting political consciousness among students. He noted that the success recorded was made possible through the unwavering commitment, coordination, and sacrifice of numerous individuals and teams who worked tirelessly before and throughout the exercise.

Comr. Abiodun Victor specially acknowledged the exceptional efforts of the NANS Week Planning Committee, led by Comr. Havilah as Chairman, for providing purposeful leadership and ensuring the smooth coordination of the exercise. He also commended Comr. Elusoji Samuel Temitope (SPIRIT), who served diligently as Secretary of the Planning Committee, for his dedication, administrative coordination, and invaluable contributions to the success of the initiative.

The Vice Chairman further appreciated all delegates representing tertiary institutions across Ondo State, whose commitment to grassroots mobilization, coordination, and sensitization significantly contributed to the remarkable participation recorded throughout the three-day exercise. He equally lauded the thousands of students who turned out to register, describing their participation as a strong indication that the student community is prepared to play a decisive role in shaping the future of Nigeria through the ballot.

He reiterated the Council’s commitment to sustaining voter education and civic engagement among students while encouraging every eligible student yet to complete the registration process to take advantage of the online pre-registration platform and proceed for biometric capture at designated INEC registration centres.

The Office of the Vice Chairman reaffirmed that the success of the exercise reflects the strength of collective leadership and the shared determination of the student community to build a more inclusive, participatory, and democratic society.
